Meredith Bialas CPM, LM
Meredith has been a birth worker for over 10 years and licensed in the state of Texas as a midwife for 5 years. She is the founder of Birth & Wellness Center of Arlington and is now holding space for families who’s goal is out of hospital birth in Collin, Denton and Tarrant counties. She has privileges at Frisco Birth Center, Birth & Wellness Center of Arlington and Grapevine Birthing Center and loves and specializes in home birth.
Meredith spent years (passionately) pursuing her dreams. She has well rounded experience including graphic design, international missions, nursing and ultimately ended up in the field of midwifery, specializing in out of hospital birth, where she built, founded and managed Birth & Wellness Center of Arlington, one of DFW’s most successful birth centers!
“My first birth experience was as a photographer 15+ years ago. It was at a local birthing center. Shortly after, while I was pursuing a degree in nursing, I was employed at a DFW hospital as the Unit Coordinator of Labor & Delivery. What a DRASTIC difference in what I knew existed and what I witnessed day in and day out. While I advocate for safety and understand that the medical system is appropriate for SOME, I understood more than ever after spending years working at the hospital that it is absolutely not the first best choice for MOST. It was then that I decided to leave the hospital setting and pursue midwifery. My years working in the hospital drives my passion for informed consent, shared decision making and evidence based practice.”
She and her husband, Hank, have two fur babies, Rory and Chevy. They hope to have pet humans for their fur babies eventually but for now are enjoying newlywed life!
She enjoys vacationing to Hawaii and Washington State as well as checking boxes off on her and her husband’s international bucket list.

Tristan Martinez
Tristan, the Birth 121 Administrative Extraordinaire! Tristan helps Meredith with all administrative tasks. If you have questions about FMLA, need copies of your invoice, etc. she’s your go-to!
Tristan is a wife, mom of 3 (Meredith caught her last baby at home!), daughter (Gail is her mama!), friend, realtor and coffee fanatic!
Birth Boot Camp Childbirth Educator, Birth Assistant, Birth Doula
Jaunitta Taylor
Jaunitta is a Certified Childbirth Educator, Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Bereavement Doula and Birth Assistant. She and her husband live in Arlington with their two dogs! They have 4 kids, two boys and two girls, all adult children now! “
“After my first three medicated hospital births, I decided I wanted a different experience for my fourth. My husband and I partnered with a doula and accomplished a beautiful, unmedicated birth in the hospital setting. It was an amazing experience and I knew I wanted to share that empowerment with other women.”
Jaunitta’s faith and family are her top priorities. She enjoys lazy days curled up on the couch with a giant cup of coffee and a good book about birth. Her ideal vacation spot is a cabin in the mountains!

Gail Wooster,
Student Midwife
Soon to be graduated, Gail attends the majority of Meredith’s births as Meredith’s assistant! Gail also teaches classes at the birth center in Arlington! You may recognize her, because you may know her because if we’re being honest… it seems like everyone knows Gail!
She’s a former homeschool mom for her 4 (now adult) children! Proud Nana of 3, she and has fur babies of her own! Fun fact: Gail’s fur baby Bentley is Meredith’s fur baby Rory’s brother.
Gail was a doula for years before deciding to become a midwife, which makes her a unique bundle of knowledge and skills!
